These questions are at the heart of the Immersive Times day . We seek, through multi-sensory experiences, to deeply rethink immersive creation. It is about going beyond the metonymic thinking of the theatre where a tree signifies a forest – let’s bring the Forest into the theatre.
SPATIALIZATION AT THE SERVICE OF CREATION
Spatialization consists of locating and moving sounds in space , and modulating, through psychoacoustic effects, our perception of sound sources.
This technology recreates the presence of voices , instruments, noises and other sounds in the real environment around us.
Designed as a tool for immersion and experimentation, spatialization can be combined with other techniques (mapping, binaural sound, multiprojection, virtual reality, etc.) to open up new artistic perimeters .
This device radically modifies the methods of representation and the possibilities of creation, and allows us to rethink the relationships between space, sound, artists and audiences.

The Immersive Times day aims to introduce you , through several demonstrations, presentations and discussions, to these possibilities and the technology that makes them real.

SOUNDSCAPES
Soundscapes are a series of sound creations that immerse the observer in environments through spatialization. At the heart of these landscapes, there are birds from all over the world. Their songs intertwine to create a “ Super-Nature ”, whose sounds evoke three supernatural biomes: Hell ( GN_6.66 ), Purgatory ( XP_6.77 ) and Paradise ( GN_7.77 ).

The auditory journey begins by plunging you into a cold and strange universe, a mysterious place where the imagination begins to take over the senses. Let the boundaries of reality fade and enter the dark forest.

Open your eyes: you are somewhere else, you are on the threshold of an intermediate and labyrinthine place. Behind the roaring layers and the heavy volutes of sound, one can however glimpse a glimmer. Fragmented notes of a lonely piano mingle with the ambient sounds and reveal a path through the misty landscape;

Let yourself be guided by this melodious and softer sound composition towards a hope of renewal, towards a lighter place. The journey continues in a gentle atmosphere, and invites deep meditation. Come into harmony with the birds and their dreamlike songs. Listen carefully; in the distance, bliss resonates.

Trans_Human_Art is an initiatory journey through a strange and labyrinthine universe; this journey is experienced over a long, epic time.
The vignettes are windows , glimpses of the journey, fleeting moments. The vignettes combine sound spatialization with visual multi-projection to immerse the audience in these ephemeral moments.
The images come from a shoot in nature, in the Cévennes. It is about pushing back - or even making the walls of the theater disappear to bring the forest, the sky, the rivers, the caves into the theater.

IMMERSIVE CONCERT
In the evening, enjoy an unforgettable musical experience: the first immersive concert of the Théâtre du Temps. Dive into the dance beat of Lentiks ' spatialized set in the first part . Then, immerse yourself in the Dantesque universe of EDN_prelude , an excerpt from Trans_Human_Art , the hybrid creation of Mickaël Sabbah in residence at the Théâtre du Temps.
Lentiks is a newcomer to the French electro scene.
He weaves into his compositions a danceable and radiant pop, whose surprising contrasts paint a colorful universe, where solar synths rub shoulders with darker layers.
His style reveals his influences (l'Impératrice, Parcels, FKJ, Daft Punk) but nevertheless surprises with a resolutely personal and authentic style. Neither retro nor futuristic, Lentiks offers the time of a set, an experience of pure immanence.
Trans_Human_Art is an interdisciplinary musical project by Mickaël Sabbah that questions the vicious circle of human violence against human beings by creating a dialogue between Dante's Divine Comedy and poetic fragments and historical testimonies.
Part investigation, part anthropological tale, and part spectacular concert, THA is being experimented with in the form of a theatrical series, divided into seasons and episodes.
On November 24, come and discover EDN_prelude, an excerpt from the third season: EDN_7.77, Paradise.
EDN_prelude is a musical experience of the journey of the protagonist of THA.
Immersive progression and extensive contemplation on a musical level are the key words characterizing the first part of this fragment from the rehearsals of Paradise .
The gentle evolution of the piece woven into the background of the canvas leads us into an atmosphere filled with tenderness.
The different synthesizer keys blend together delicately. When the light rhythms arrive gently, the soundscape lends itself to pure joy.
